Welcome to Rongo Kōrero, the Blind Foundation’s app for Māori language, customs and protocol.

This tool has been created to support Blind Foundation staff to grow their Māori language skills and protocol knowledge base.

With a diverse team the Foundation wants to ensure everyone is able to understand clients and respond effectively to them. An inclusive environment means that diverse team perspectives within the Blind Foundation will be given the best opportunity to be expressed.

This app is Accessibility Enabled:

The VoiceOver screen-reading tool included in Rongo Kōrero helps users interact with the software without the need to see the screen. It is specifically designed for those with vision issues.

VoiceOver provides audible descriptions of different UI components and audible feedback on actions taken in the app.

To start using VoiceOver, first open the Settings app and navigate to General Accessibility Accessibility Shortcut. There, ensure the VoiceOver cell is selected.
